A Partnership, Not a Transaction

Bringing a new dog into your home is a major life event. At Ironstone Goldendoodles, I want that experience to be as smooth, transparent, and exciting as possible. We don’t just "sell puppies"; we guide you through a journey to ensure that the puppy you take home is the perfect fit for your lifestyle.

Here is exactly what you can expect when you decide to work with us.

Step 1: The Application

Our process begins with an application. This isn't just paperwork; it’s a tool that helps me understand your home environment, your experience with dogs, and what you’re looking for in a companion. Because I focus on temperament and biddability, this information is vital for matching the right pup to the right person.

Step 2: The Interview & Deposit

Once I’ve reviewed your application, we’ll have a conversation. This is your chance to ask me questions about my breeding philosophy, health testing, and the "Ironstone Standard." If we both feel it’s a good fit, a deposit secures your place on our waiting list.

Step 3: The Waiting Period (Updates & Education)

While you wait for your litter, the work doesn't stop. I provide regular updates on the parents and, once the puppies are born, weekly photos and videos. This is also when I share resources—like our Tether Training guides—so you can start preparing your home before the puppy arrives.

Step 4: Puppy Matching

Around the 7-to-8-week mark, we perform temperament evaluations. Based on your application and my observations of the puppies' developing personalities, we finalize the matches. I believe the breeder is in the best position to see which puppy has the "boldness" for an active family or the "calm" for a quieter household.

Step 5: Homecoming Day

The big day! When you come to Cuba City to pick up your puppy, we spend time going over the Puppy Starter Kit, reviewing medical records, and answering any last-minute questions. You’ll leave with more than just a dog; you’ll leave with a plan for the first 48 hours and a lifetime of support from Ironstone.

The Journey Continues

Homecoming is just the beginning. I stay in touch with all my owners to see how the puppies are growing and to offer advice as they move through the different developmental milestones.
